The Project

Vantage Property Group engaged Mesh Direct to produce a whopping 50m long Fire Rated Standard Banner Mesh fence. The site was at Austral Estate, a tranquil and family-friendly area close to Western Sydney Parklands.

The Challenge

We were working against the elements on this project which was our main challenge. Some areas where the temporary fencing would be placed were exposed to high levels of wind. It was crucial the product could withstand tough conditions and stay in place for the duration of the client’s project. High wind conditions also meant that it was important for our installer to be properly briefed and remain vigilant throughout the installation process. Installing fencing and signage when there are high levels of wind can be tricky until the product is secured in place, making it important for health and safety to be a priority throughout the process.

Vantage Property Group also required a fire rated and UV resistant material to withstand the harsh Australian sun, and to ensure the safety and longevity of the product.

The Product

A robust product that could withstand the wind and sun was required, and our team had just the solution. Fire Rated Standard Banner Mesh was used across the perimeter of the fencing, a durable and long-lasting material that allows the wind to easily pass through it. We also opted to add additional Wind Slits to the material (25 per roll, to be precise) to make the mesh surface even more passable and undisrupted by the wind. It was also important to consider spacing in the installation and space out the panels accordingly to where the highest wind areas were. We used 10m sections in areas that were particularly exposed to the wind, again, this was to ensure the structure could withstand the wind.

Our Standard Banner Mesh is printed using high quality UV stabilised inks, which meant the material was resistant to the harsh sun while the colour and clarity of the print was also fantastic. Vantage Property Group opted for a custom print to highlight their branding, and the finished results were fantastic.

The Result

The result was physically strong and visually impactful fencing which will last Vantage Property Group the duration of their project and beyond. We worked closely and efficiently with the client to ensure deadlines were met for their project and communication was kept throughout the process.

Vantage Property Group said “Kim and the team at Mesh Direct are clear in their communications, direct in their recommendations and extremely hard working. It was a pleasure to work with them and provide a fantastic outcome for the project.”

We look forward to working with Vantage Property Group again on future projects.
